Romania at a glance
Romania has become one of the most talked-about European destinations for Bangladeshi workers. A member of the European Union since 2007 and a full member of the Schengen Area since 2025, it offers a growing economy, a lower cost of living than many Western European countries and a central location in Europe.
Employment-based migration to Romania is typically employer-led. In general, a Romanian employer first applies to the immigration authorities for a work authorisation for a foreign worker. Once that authorisation is issued, the worker applies for a long-stay visa for employment at the competent Romanian diplomatic mission or its authorised visa centre, and after arrival obtains a residence permit.
Because demand is high, Romania is also a destination where fraudulent offers appear frequently. Our role is to help you understand each stage, check that your documents and job offer are consistent with the official process, and prepare a complete application. Decisions are made solely by the Romanian authorities.

Yes. Romania became a full member of the Schengen Area in 2025. A long-stay national visa is still required for employment.
Timelines vary depending on the employer, the authorities and the visa centre's workload. We give you a realistic, general estimate during consultation — never a guaranteed date.
The employment route generally requires an employer in Romania and an approved work authorisation. Be cautious of anyone offering a work visa without these.
